BEST PIZZA I'VE HAD. Top 10 in America and Top 1 on my list. We couldn't pick between two options so we got both pizzas. #1) cup & char pepperoni (a classic) - my fav and would get this again. - I highly recommend adding ricotta cheese and basil to it. Trust. #2) prosciutto & arugula - too much arugula and felt like it was a salad on a pizza. But flavors came together and it was delicious. The best part of both pizzas was the dough. So light and fluffy. Takes zero effort to bite into the crust, wow! They both were bursting with flavors, but really the highlight was in the dough mixed with the fresh ingredients. Incredible. For sides we just got the calamari. It has a perfect kick of spice, perfectly battered, but on the chewier side. You know it's good when it doesn't need the marinara sauce. Topped off our dinner with a homemade cheesecake that tops any other cheesecakes we've had. It came with mango sorbet ice cream which surprisingly pairs well with the smooth and creaminess of the cheesecake. Our waiter was so kind and sweet. Truly the nicest and made our experience there delightful. Cons (not deal breakers!) - Tables were a little close together and atmosphere was very loud. - Bathrooms were outside the restaurant down the hall. :( - long wait time (try to get a reservation if you can)

Food: 10/10. All hits! We started our dinner with calamari. The batter was light, with the perfect crunch. It was slightly on the chewier side but the overall flavors were incredible paired with the marinara sauce with lemon. For pizzas, we got started with the cup and char pepperoni. The first thing I noticed was the dough. I've never had anything more light and crispy and it made it so easy to chew. The marinara sauce was also fresh and bursting with flavors. We also tried the prosciutto & arugula which was actually my favorite pizza tonight. Although I am not typically a fan of arugula and tomatoes, I felt the combination of everything just mixed perfectly together. The slight bitterness and tartness of the arugula paired well with the saltiness of the prosciutto. Then you get the pop of cherry tomatoes that adds a semi tardy & sweet taste that left the bite full of flavor. Again, I felt the dough put a bow on everything. The server suggested the cheesecake, and we're so glad we went with it! It was above textbook standards and who knew mango sorbet would pair so well with it. The first bite of just the cheesecake was creamy, and the sweetness wasn't overpowering. Combined with the mango sorbet, the sourness complimented the sweetness and creaminess of the cheesecake. Drinks: the espresso martini was my favorite drink tonight because it wasn't too bitter due to the Bailey creamer and it made it sweet. It balanced out the bitterness of the espresso. Service: everything was served quickly and was freshly made. The waiter made our experience memorable. He's just so awesome and had lively energy. Ambiance: a bit on the louder side. Tables were mushed together pretty closely. The waiters hovered above us giving food to the other tables sitting by us.

I ate lunch here with colleagues. We ordered the arancini and calamari for appetizers. We ordered the Lia and grilled sausage pizzas for our main meal. Everything was really good. And I was a little skeptical because I am not a fan of Chicago style pizza and I was thinking, "can they make good NY style pizza"? The answer is - yes, they can. It did not disappoint. The arancini was surprisingly delicious. The taste and texture were outstanding. It's a short walk from the Loew's hotel. A heads up that there are two different entrances. The one closer to the hotel takes you down some stairs and through the hallway.

I visited Robert's Pizza with a few friends after hearing it was one of the best pizza spots in Chicago--and maybe even the country. I went during the summer and really enjoyed the patio seating, which overlooks a small river, making it a great spot for a casual lunch with friends. The service was excellent--we were seated quickly, and our pizzas arrived in good time. We ordered the Charred Pepperoni and the Lia (their take on a Margherita pizza)--both were fantastic, with that perfect artisanal, crispy-yet-chewy crust. I also tried their Veggie Pesto Pizza on a different occasion, but it didn't quite measure up to the other two. Since then, I've even ordered Robert's Pizza for house parties because I enjoyed it so much. However, it is definitely on the pricey side. The pizzas come in just one size, which often isn't enough--if you're ordering for a group of 10, you'll likely need at least five pizzas, and that adds up quickly. Overall, the quality is top-notch, and the flavors live up to the hype, but if you're looking for value for money, this might not be the best choice. Still, for a great pizza experience in Chicago, it's worth trying at least once.

Good: Service, nice folks, prompt service. Happy Hour: Made getting pizza for one possible! I enjoyed two slices with a guava caipirinha! Both fabulous. The pizza dough incredible and I had thin sliced pizza. Returned three times during my week stay in Chicago.!

In a city known for it's pizza, be a Robert's Pizza and Dough! While we have sampled slices all over the city, from deep dish, to skinny deep dish to thin crust, Robert's classic artisan style pies stands out and is our favorite slice across the windy city...and I am ready to fight about it if needed. Robert's has been around for close to 10 years now, but has the energy of a brand new spot, and the hype to go along with it. Located on McClurg, behind and below Target, and situated on the waterway, Robert's feels like a hidden gem that only the coolest of cool kids know about. The space is divided in a few sections with a dining room featuring an open-air kitchen, a bar area with several tables and then a great patio overlooking the water. We came in winter, so no patio for us...yet! We made a reservation, which is highly recommended, no matter the night. When we arrived there was still a wait, so we began hanging out until we spotted two barstools open up. At that point we bellied up to the bar, cancelled our dining room reservation and off we went. The restaurant as a whole is beautiful in style with lots of woods, greens, soft tones and ambient lighting that really give the space a chic, yet classic vibe. Service was stellar from entry to exit. The hostess's were friendly and helpful, even when things were getting crazy at the door. Our bartenders were equally as helpful and friendly. Making casual conversation as much a part of our evening as the pizza and cocktails. Now for the food...more specifically the pizza! During our latest visit, it was restaurant week in Chicago, so my partner ordered from the pre-fixe menu, while I opted for the main menu. The pre-fixe featured a few notable items from their menu including the apple hazelnut salad, burrata, classic pepperoni pie and tiramisu. The salad was solid, burrata delicious and the cup & char pepperoni was masterfully prepared and baked to perfection! I went with the Funghi pizza and added fennel sausage. It was absolutely delightful! As noted above, and in strong words declaring my favorite slice in the city, the pizza here is special. The crust is crispy, yet flexible, but not too thin to crack when folding. The ratio of toppings to sauce to cheese and of course to crust is *chef's kiss*! Overall, Robert's is an amazing place that is top of our "to do" list when in the city, and is one of the spots that adds to our love of Chicago! See you soon, Robert's!

Yummy food! The burrata was nice and fresh, really enjoyed it. Both of the pizzas were delicious. I prefer the roasted veggies one only because I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms. The restaurant wasn't busy since it was a Tuesday night so service was quick. Haven't been here during peek hours. Would definitely go there again.

(G)o - best thin crust I've had in a while! (W)ow factor - right on the river with fantastic views! Could be a fun date night place or group hangout spot. Service is a little slow, but I think it's generally crowded. (A)ge - lots of families and big groups (M)enu - ordered the seafood pizza, the jay pizza, a walk in the woods pizza, and the prosciutto and arugula pizza. My favorite was the seafood pizza - I've never seen whole clams on top of pizza and the sauce tasted just like kalguksu broth (anchovy broth). Next fav would be walk in the woods - generous truffle. The Jay is your classic margherita pizza - nothing new there, but always good. I feel like I've been seeing the prosciutto and arugula pizza on so many "fancy" pizza menus recently. Definitely a solid combination, but lost its chance to shine with these four fantastic choices.

Everything was phenomenal! First time trying the Sopressata pizza and I will be ordering it again next time I'm at Robert's. Wings and calamari were spot on and I'd highly recommend. This was a carry-out order. Super easy to place and pick up!

Always incredible. Every time I go to Chicago Roberts is the first place I go. The pizza is absolutely delicious. This is tavern style pizza with a thin crust. A lot of locals eat here and it's not a tourist trap The last time I went I got the Rita. Was awesome!
